Overview
In this project, I wanted to create a small coffee company based off of a King Charles Cavalier. I made two coffee bag designs, one for light roast and the second for dark roast. I also made some company swag because who doesn't need a nice tote to go along with their coffee?

Process
Ideation and Inspiration
Making a coffee bag isn't as easy as it looks. It takes time, patience and research to come up with a well-designed coffee bag that represents the brand while still being a functional product. I went to my local grocery store and spent way to much time looking at coffee bags and decided to come up with a background design rather than a whole illustrative one, as it can be distracting from the true product.
Designing
Based off of the in-person research I did and the notes I took from existing coffee bags, I decided to make a 'torn label design' thats almost like a receipt that showcases the products description. Followed by a unique background design with illustrations of dog related items and coffee beans.
Grids & Final thoughts
Throughout my design I made sure the background is extremely unstructured while having the contents of the coffees information tucked away in a very organized manner, making it easier to read and letting it feel lifted from the background.
Conclusion
I had a lot of fun with this project, as someone who loves coffee and my dog, Zeus who is a King Charles Cavalier this was right up my alley and the bag design is based off of Zeus' colors.
This design was a good way for me to showcase my illustrative design style and an introduction for me into motion graphics.
